Air: Lisbon Airport is the largest hub for Tap Portugal, and has connections via many airlines to most major European cities. The best, cheapest, and quickest (15 minutes) way to go from the Airport to the center of Lisbon is to take the Metro. Get off at São Sebastião and find yourself 10 minutes by foot from Campus de Campolide, or at a different station depending n your hotel/hostel location.
Rail: Scores of national and international trains arrive in Lisboa every day. In addition to Santa Apolonia terminal station, the city now has the new Gare do Oriente, which opened in 1998 adjacent to the Parque das Nações. Both stations have direct bus or underground connections to the city centre.
We do not have agreements with any hotels. There are hotels, hostels, and other accommodation possibilities such as AirBnb in all price ranges located within walking distance of the conference venue. Use your favorite search engine to find something suitable. In case you need help in find an accomodation, just contact us and we will be pleased to help!
The event's official gala dinner will be served on Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. in Marretas Bar. Located at the Largo de Santos, 3-E 1200 Lisboa.
Lisbon has repeatedly been celebrated for its rich cuisine and excellent restaurants. Avoiding the worst tourist spots, it is very hard to find a bad meal.
The meeting point for informal meeting will be in front of "Cafe a Brasileira" at 8:00 p.m. The address is Rua Garret 120, Lisboa 1200-205, Portugal. The organizers will be waiting with the conference sign in front of the cafe. After, we will have a walk and stop in one of the city's bar for a informal talk. Remember that this is only an informal get together and it will not be afforded by the conference.
Additionally, the conference venue is centrally located in Lisbon, where there are a large number of historical sights, parks, bars, and restaurants closeby that we can recommend. Check out the official website of Portugal’s central public authority on tourism Visit Lisboa for more info.
