"The open source style approach to building your GIS career".

Victor will discuss his experience with open source (and also open data, open documentation, etc),and how it can be beneficial for anyone involved in GIS. His presentation will not discuss open source in itself, but how to use the good ideas of open source to develop yourself as a GIS professional, even if working with software or data that may not be open.

This session will be composed of a combined session where posters from students and others will be available to view in the foyer. Authors will be on hand to take questions on their work. The lightning talks will comprise 3 minute presentations by anyone who signs up on topics related to the theme of the conference. This is your chance to show off the best work such an application or study you are currently working on. Spread your ideas.
