The conference will take place in the "Institute for Geoinformatics (ifgi)," in University of Münster.

GEO 1 (Conference)

Geoinformatics is the science of modelling spatio-temporal processes computationally. The Institute of Geoinformatics in Münster provides bachelor, master and phd degrees in geoinformatics. The research areas are modelling spatio-temporal processes, semantic interoperability, spatial assistance systems, cognitive engineering and sensor networks.

In the building

The Institute for Geoinformatics has its rooms in the 1st and 2nd floor. The Secretariat is located on 1st floor in room 123.

By plane

The international Airport Münster/Osnabrück (FMO) at Greven (about 20 km north of Münster) is frequented of scheduled planes from many German cities and from London, Paris and Zurich. Take bus route R 51, S 50 or D50 from FMO to Münster Central Station. Düsseldorf Airport is reachable from most €opean cities. You can reach Münster by different trains (IC, ICE, IR, RB). For most connections you have to change. They take about 1.5 to 2 h.

By train

Different trains from all directions arrive at Münster Central Station in regular intervals the whole day. From the main station take the bus route 4 or 13 and exit at stop Mendelstraße. You can find train and bus connections on the Deutsche Bahn and Stadtwerke Münster websites.

By car

You can reach Münster via the highways A1 and A43. Use the Münster Nord and follow  Steinfurter Straße (B54) into town.
