Papers

An important objective of this conference is giving interchange opportunities to young researchers, and approaching academic and job market worlds by favoring networking between young researchers and professionals in geo-related sciences and industries. In order to achieve this objective, GeoMundus will be a scientific conference with peer-reviewed papers and posters, where young researchers present and discuss their work during the presentation sessions. They will have the opportunity to learn from and connect with their peers and innovators in various domains.

Notification of Successful Applicants: August 30, 2012  -> EXTENDED to October 15, 2012

Posters

Interested students can present not only papers, but also posters about any interesting topic in Geosciences. These posters will be displayed during the entire conference. We suggest that during the Poster session on Friday, November 9, from 4:30 to 5:30, that authors stand nearby their posters to answer questions.

Map contest

GeoMundus Conference is also organizing a maps contest this year. If you have a beautiful map in your archives, you can take it along with you at the conference, no matter the software you have used to make it. The criteria to evaluate the maps will involve elements from the appearance, reader-map relationship, message of the map, colors, and many other scientific and artistic factors as well.

We are going to have a twofold prize system for the best maps. The 10 best ones will be displayed at the conference hall. Each of the authors of the best 3 maps will be complimented with a book from ESRI Press.
