GEO 1 (Conference)
Geoinformatics is the science of modelling spatio-temporal processes computationally. The Institute of Geoinformatics in Münster provides bachelor, master and phd degrees in geoinformatics. The research areas are modelling spatio-temporal processes, semantic interoperability, spatial assistance systems, cognitive engineering and sensor networks.

Since its foundation in 1908 the Provincial Museum has been the centre for fine arts in Westphalia. It presents over a thousand years of art history, from the Middle Ages to modern times.

With over 780 lithographs, it houses a collection which is unique in the world, and which was further supplemented by a hundred etchings with the purchase of the "Suite Vollard" in Nov 2001.
The outline of the exhibition is provided by numerous models of the city and its architecture, which illustrate Münster's changing shape from the foundation of the city until now.
